August 2013

In celebration of 2013 World Breastfeeding Week, The Indiana Black Breastfeeding Coalition (IBBC) continues it's mission to raise awareness in the African American Community.

The IBBC offers breastfeeding classes on the third Saturday of each month from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm. Classes meet at Indianapolis Healthy Start located at 4087 Millersville Road (near 38th and Keystone) in Indianapolis. Participants will connect with a personal "Bosom Buddy" enjoy a light breakfast and learn about the many resources for breastfeeding moms.

IBBC also offers ongoing breastfeeding support groups for women. These groups offer advice from lactation consultants and other breastfeeding moms as well as free supplies and resources.
