With the summer sun setting and temperatures cooling, this is a laid-back time to see the zoo apart from the hustle and bustle of daytime summer crowds. During the concert, young guests can meet the zoo mascots, see small animals with keepers, or play on the nearby playground. Visitors can relax at the Café on the Commons picnic area with views of ring-tailed and ruffed lemurs, flamingos and professional jazz performers in the same evening!

Jazz guests choose from a number of dining options. Café on the Commons is open with favorite fare such as hot dogs, hamburgers and nachos. At Just for Jazz, a full bar and buffet are available. Choices on any given evening might include ribs or chicken with all the delicious traditional side dishes and dessert.

Guests from the Jazz Club of Indianapolis, Jazz Kitchen, Chatterbox Jazz Club, Indianapolis Jazz Foundation, and the zoo will have information on programming as well as sign-ups for great prizes to be raffled off during the night. Table sponsor Fidelity Investments will be on hand to talk with guests about their services and a special program to support the zoo. Fidelity Investments will donate $100 to the Indianapolis Zoo for a complimentary portfolio review by October 31 at the Indianapolis Investor Center.

As with any zoo visit, guests are asked to refrain from bringing in personal food and drinks. This event is free for members and included with regular zoo admission. Personal lawn chairs are welcome, as seating is first-come, first-served. If the weather doesn't cooperate, the concert goes on as scheduled under the big top of the Party Pavilion.

Come and enjoy a special night at the Indianapolis Zoo where can combine your love of music and animals. The hot sounds from the stage, great food, great company and the unique atmosphere of the zoo after hours will make it a night to remember.
