The Children's Museum offers Free Admission to Federal Employees

October 03, 2013 | 10:23 AM

While close to 800,000 workers across the country face furlough because of the partial government shutdown, The Children's Museum of Indianapolis is pleased to offer free admission to all employees of the federal government from October 4-6, 2013.

In order to receive free admission, visitors will be asked to show their federal ID at the museum admission desk along with a photo ID. Family members of federal employees are invited to purchase museum tickets at regular price. Federal employees do not have to be furloughed to receive free admission.

Please note the free admission also applies to active enlisted United States military personnel. Immediate family members of active military personnel will continue to receive a 10% discount (which is an ongoing discount we offer military families throughout the year).

"It is our pleasure to extend this free admission offer to thank federal employees for their work,"

said Dr. Jeffrey H. Patchen, president and CEO, The Children's Museum of Indianapolis.
