“Let’s do the time warp again!”- Richard O’Brien

October 07, 2013 | 08:35 AM

The 2013 Children's Museum of Indianapolis' Haunted House will keep you coming back; It's like one of those great films you watch over and over and make new discoveries each time. (Just go ahead and purchase two tickets, because one trip through is not enough.)

Time Warp: 50 Years of Fear proves that, after all these years, the hardworking Children's Museum Guild still has new tricks up their sleeves! New this year, they are offering three ways to enjoy the haunted house: Lights-On Hours for those who scare easily, Frightening Hours for those who dare to be scared, and the new Xtreme Scream hours for those who want to take terror to the next level. And get this...visitors can experience the haunted house in 3-D for the first time ever (by the way, do not overlook the small Goodwill coupon attached to your 3-D glasses)!

Indy's Child had a sneak peek at Time Warp: 50 Years of Fear this past weekend. We traveled back in time to explore five different "deadcades" of history, music, television, movies and other pop culture. There were unique and humorous details throughout the haunted house such as the spooky candy machine, the 50th anniversary cake, and some cleverly named characters and rooms.

Indy's Child is pleased to help sponsor Time Warp: 50 Years of Fear! Follow us on Facebook and Twitter, or click the contest tab on www.indyschild.com for a chance to win CMI Haunted House tickets throughout the month! You may also want to visit http://thehistory.childrensmuseum.org/haunted-house to check out the history of the nation's oldest, continually operating haunted house!

Indianapolis is so fortunate to have the best children's museum in the world. We have the best haunted house, too! Enjoy this great tradition this Halloween season!
