Fashion with a Purpose

Hundreds of girls from the Indianapolis area rehearsed this weekend for the upcoming American Girl Fashion Show benefiting the Riley Hospital Cheer Guild. Calista Fishback is shown here walking the runway dressed as Julie Albright with her doll representing the fashions of the seventies.

This annual fundraiser showcases both historic and modern American Girl fashions and the history behind them. Attendees will enjoy themed food stations, doll themed crafts, party favors, an American Girl Marketplace, a doll hair salon and professional photographs with their dolls.

Three shows are scheduled for November 9th (1:00 pm and 5:30 pm) and November 10th (1:00 pm) at the The Primo Banquet Hall in Indianapolis. Proceeds from this extraordinary event will help to make pediatric patients' stays at Riley Hospital more enjoyable by providing more than 14,000 toys and crafts. Visit www.americangirlindy.org for more information.

If you are unable to attend, you can benefit The Cheer Guild when you are making American Girl purchases this holiday season. Now through November 27, 2013, 5% of your purchases will go to the Riley Cheer Guild. Call 1-800-920-0867 and use the special code (177929).

Don't miss this event and the opportunity to support a great cause.
