With 25 Recreation Centers, including Nature Centers, Art Classes, Indoor Aquatic Centers, Gymnasiums, Perry Ice Skating Rink, basketball, volleyball and weight rooms, Indy Parks has plenty of indoor & outdoor winter activities for you to stay active and have fun!

Santa's Switchboard: Parents and grandparents, make a special arrangement from the North Pole (Broad Ripple Park) for Santa to call your little one directly on Thursday, December 12, 2013 between 6 – 7 p.m. Make sure they are on the nice and not the naughty list! Adults must pre-arrange your child's call and give us "help" so Santa knows what to bring this year. Just $2 per call. Reservation deadline is Dec. 11. Call today! (317) 327-PARKS.

Sharpen up your skates, or you can rent a pair from us! Come and skate at Perry Park Ice Skating Center located at 451 E. Stop 11 Road.

Come enjoy the 6th annual Conservatory Crossing at Garfield Park winter wonderland! See Garfield Park Conservatory

decked out in its holiday best with a brilliant display of poinsettias and enjoy running model trains, with a train village and thousands of twinkling lights. The Conservatory Crossing display is done in partnership with The Indiana Rail Road Company. Regular Conservatory Hours: Monday – Saturday 10-5 p.m. and Sundays 1-5 p.m. Open extended hours until 8 p.m. before Christmas on December 19, 20 and 21, and after Christmas on Dec. 27 & 28 – the best time to see the lights! Special Show Admission is $3/person, $8/family w/2 adult max. Through New Year's Eve December 31st at 5 p.m.

Spend an indoor or outdoor day at Eagle Creek Park, one of the largest city parks in the country. Eagle Creek Park is open every day, including Christmas Day and New Year's Day, from dawn to dusk.

Kick off your New Year in the pool! Swimming is widely accepted as one of the best forms of exercise for any age. Indy Parks has several year-round aquatic centers with reasonable fees for indoor open swim and affordable classes.

    Recycle your Christmas tree from December 26, 2013 through January 31, 2014. The City's Office of Sustainability, in partnership with Indy Parks and Keep Indianapolis Beautiful, will offer eight drop-off locations in Marion County for residents to drop off any real Christmas tree that has been cleared of all ornaments, lights, and bags.
