Fishers Parks & Recreation offers Safe Sitter Class

February 24, 2014 | 02:53 PM

Safe Sitter is a nationally recognized program that teaches hopeful sitters how to have fun with children while keeping safety a top priority. Program participants will learn all about the business of babysitting by learning how to recognize medical emergencies, identifying appropriate action to take when emergencies occur and various other safety measures while caring for children. This one day class is on Friday, March 28 from 9 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. at the Billericay Park Building and provides hands-on opportunities to learn while having fun.

Fishers Parks & Recreation strives to provide quality programming, like Safe Sitter, to the young adults here in Fishers. Programs like this allow teens to gain real-world knowledge that can assist them in learning responsibility. Fishers Parks & Recreation programs are not only available to residents in Fishers, but residents from surrounding communities are always welcome to participate.
