Indy Honor Flight is part of the National Honor Flight Network. The organization's mission is to transport America's Veterans to Washington, D.C. to visit the national memorials honoring their sacrifices.

The men and women who fought in World War II are now in their 80s and 90s, and honoring the 20th-century veterans' sacrifice before they pass from the scene is of utmost importance.

On Saturday, April 5, 2014, at 8:30pm, 70 Hoosier World War II heroes will return to The Indianapolis International Airport from their visit to Washington, D.C. Indy Honor Flight invites families to participate in a heartfelt welcome with flags, banners, signs and most importantly, a large crowd! Guests are asked to arrive at the main food court at 8:00 pm.

Of all the conflicts of our time, World War II truly shaped who we are as Americans. This event is a wonderful and educational opportunity for families to express gratitude and be a part of history!

If you are interested but unable to attend, please consider making a donation to this worthy cause. The cost to send just one Veteran on his or her Honor Flight is $450. Donations of any amount are welcomed and greatly appreciated.
