September 10, 2013 | 06:48 PM The Gender Reveal for Baby Titus took place this past weekend!!! Our Little Princess will be here in three short months! Baby Titus is a girl and we could not be more ecstatic!!
My husband Ben joined me at the Baby Shower and he stayed the entire time! I love him! We dumped pink balloons out of a box from the balcony to share the gender with the shower guests. This was such a fun moment in my life and I know I will never forget it!
It feels good to let everyone know the gender of our Precious Little Girl!!! It was tough to hold in the secret, but I am glad we did it this way and stuck to it.
On Saturday, the day of my shower, I was overwhelmed with emotion -- mostly feeling incredibly blessed for all the wonderful people in my life who are always there for me and willing to help Ben and I start this amazing journey. My family did so much for me this weekend and I became emotional at just the thought of all the love and support they have shown me throughout the entire journey, from the moment they learned about Baby Titus, at five weeks!!!
On Sunday, the day after my shower, I was overwhelmed with yet more emotion – Geez!! I am definitely an emotional pregnant lady!! On Sunday, my emotions were a mixture of the thankfulness I felt the day before and now a bit of sadness, that this journey is going so quickly for us and the shower is already over!! When we left my family and Southern Indiana, I put my shades on, but Ben knew there were tears under there. I explained my emotions to him, and as usual, he helped me feel better.
I could not ask for a more perfect Gender Reveal for Baby Titus!!
Ben and I are nearly certain that we have a named picked out for our Princess, but we have not shared it with anyone yet, except for my sister. It has been more difficult than I thought to choose a name. My career as a teacher does not make the process any easier.
It is quite difficult to find a name that does not bring a past student to my mind. Ben would suggest a name, and it seemed I could always match the name with a student I have previously taught in school. We did not look at any books, but Ben did print out lists. I was fairly certain I did not want to choose a name from any type of popularity list; I wanted something unique and special.
I have actually been set on a name since the beginning. This name was not on a list or in a book. It has a very special meaning to me. We were able to narrow our options down to this name that I love and one other that we found. We recently chose our favorite of the two and decided on a name for our Princess!!!
